About this template
An Architectural Decision Record (ADR) is a document that captures a significant architectural decision along with its context and consequences. The rule of thumb for ADRs is that once the decision is challenging to make or difficult to reverse/change, it should be documented in an architectural decision record. ADR serves as a historical marker, providing insight into the 'why' behind decisions and aiding future team members and stakeholders in understanding the evolution of the project's architecture.
