Hi there 👋

It’s Flo here with our monthly update.

Did you miss last month's update? Well, me too! 🤣

Jokes aside, I'll do my best to keep the pace of sending those every month no matter what, so stick with me; we have a lot to catch up since early May.

📸 New image model

I'm super excited about this one. Last month, Open AI finally released the image generation model they use in ChatGPT through the API and it's phenomenal —for me it's even the state-of-the-art. Not only it's able to generate images but it can also take images as input to offer powerful editing capabilities.

Here's a bunch of ideas you should try now:

  • Send a quick picture of yourself and ask Notis to generate a YouTube thumbnail for your next video based on the script Notis wrote for you in Notion.

  • Ask Notis to research your next blog article, write it, and then generate the hero image in your preferred style for your blog.

  • Snap a picture of your interior and ask Notis to act as an interior designer and propose a few different designs. It helped me furnished my living room.

  • Pitch new ads for your PPC campaign and have Notis generate the creatives for you right from WhatsApp, Telegram, or your email.

Don't forget to send me your favourite use cases and the images produced on my WhatsApp or my Telegram.

📁 Notis now upload files to Notion

We brought a bunch of changes to how Notis handle your files. In particular:

  • Notion recently introduced support in their API for file uploads. So now, you can add file properties to your database, and Notis has the ability to upload any type of files there.

  • We also now vectorize all files attached inside those properties, so any content there can be retrieved whenever Notis is performing a file search in your workspace.

🚀 Turbo mode is now available on WhatsApp

We've fully transitioned to our new infrastructure, including WhatsApp. You should experience a response speed increase of between 2x and 5x from Notis. However, this is not intended to replace real-time LLMs optimized for speed, such as ChatGPT, Notion AI, Raycast AI, Claude, and others. Notis is designed for autonomy and intelligence. Remember that every message you send is processed by a triage engine and multiple specialized agents tasked with fulfilling your instructions. For more insights, read our blog post "Notis vs Notion AI: Why a Butler Beats a Toaster for Your Productivity."

In the future, when WhatsApp and Telegram finally release a voice API, I plan to bring Notis as a real-time voice agent. In this modality, it will be optimized for speed and will follow up by text or emails when it needs more time to complete a task.

🐞 Other small improvements

  • When editing an existing document Notis will now default to appending content (as opposed to replacing content) if he has not just created it. Otherwise, if Notis created the document, it will replace the content by default. You can always overridde this behaviour by prompting Notis for what you want or by adding instructions in the description of the database.

  • Fixed the handling of very long audio recording.

  • Added the support for sending or forwarding any types of audio to Notis without any limits in term of lenght (as long as it's accepted by Telegram or WhatsApp api).

  • All audio files used for a Notion documents are pieced together and now saved along the transcript.txt file at the end of the document.

  • We have rebuild the portal from the ground up to enable future cool features such as managing your reminders, scheduled tasks, etc.

📰 AI News

Here's everything cool we saw happening this month in AI:

💼 AI & White-Collar Jobs: Anthropic’s CEO warns AI could wipe out up to half of entry-level white-collar roles in 1–5 years, possibly spiking unemployment to 10–20% and says leaders need to stop “sugar-coating” the threat. (Axios)

🎥 Karpathy’s AI Keynote: Ex-Tesla AI chief Andrej Karpathy’s YC talk on AI and software is a must-watch—huge buzz, fast-tracked to YouTube. (X)

🗣️ ElevenLabs 11.ai Assistant: ElevenLabs launched a voice-first AI assistant that can take actions in apps, now in free alpha—I tried it and I wasn't impressed, to say the least. (X)

🎥 Google, VEO III: Google’s text-to-video tool stole the show at I/O. The new model called VEO III is capable of rendering shockingly realistic video with sound, voice, accent, music, etc. This one stuck with me.

🤑 It's the final countdown: Zuckerberg is personally negotiating a $100 million signing bonus to attract OpenAI talent. This approach seems to indicate that Zuckerberg believes in a winner-takes-all scenario in the event of an intelligence explosion (X).

👨‍💻 Windsurf acquisition by OpenAI: Windsurf, the coding agent IDE, has been acquired by OpenAI for approximately 3 billion $. Meanwhile, Cursor, their competitor which I use to develop Notis, receives a $900 million investment, bringing its valuation to 9 billion $ (X).

That's it for those two months. See you in next month!
