Pre-Mortem Brainstorm
About this template
The goal of a pre-mortem brainstorm is similar to that of a post-mortem reflection—but the goal is to get ahead of the possible sticking points, delays, or other challenges that could disrupt a project or throw it off its timeline. Instead of waiting until after the project to reflect on how it all went, practice good change management by getting ahead of possible anxieties and remind people about why it’s exciting to take on this new project. Keep the meeting focused to only the project at hand, focusing on both of these questions in turn: What could go wrong with this project? What could go right with this project?
