To achieve this, we're looking for software engineers with a strong passion and expertise in Large Language Models and applied AI. You'll be at the forefront of this technological evolution.

This role offers you the opportunity to build a comprehensive, intelligent platform. You'll be involved in everything from architecting the integration of multiple model providers to exploring ways to make our platform smarter, faster, and more reliable.

As a fully remote company spread across Europe, we welcome candidates within EU-friendly timezones (CET ± 3 hours) for full-time employment.

In this role, you will:

• Enhance Notis AI to be smarter, faster, and more reliable by working on cutting-edge AI based on user needs. From agents to embeddings to fine-tuning, you'll conduct experiments to improve our systems.

• Develop new productivity Notis agents that integrate with various productivity tools such as Google Calendar, Airtable, Hubspot, etc and make Notis accessible to new channels such as Signal, Telegram, Slack, etc.

• Stay abreast of the latest trends in applied AI, including evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, and retrieval techniques.

• Maintain and enhance our AI infrastructure, taking co-ownership of our AI stack. This includes managing a router for multiple models, ensuring secure and private data handling, and addressing unique challenges to provide stable connections to our mobile clients.

• Lead the future design and architecture of our AI stack. As Notis AI has become a dominant tool for our users, you'll play a crucial role in developing new features from concept to production.

• Co-own the product and work autonomously. As a small team of individual contributors, everyone has autonomy and responsibility. You'll work on features from ideation to release and maintenance, helping shape our product roadmap.

• Wear many hats. In our startup environment, we're all generalists. You might add a new page to our Framer website, prototype a new desktop client, or write a blog post about a new feature.

Qualifications

You will be a great fit if:

• You have experience building AI applications. Impress us with your latest side project utilizing LLMs or your last smart feature using RAG. We seek hands-on engineers who apply the latest trends rather than diving deep into research.

• You understand the importance of evaluations. While demos and prototypes are easy, building something used hundreds of times daily is our standard. Reliability and an evaluation framework are essential from day one.

• You're highly productive and write quality code. You can break down big projects into small deliverables, care about the output, and take a pragmatic approach to deliver it. You prefer simplicity and writing more code over adopting third-party dependencies. You know when code reviews or writing tests are beneficial.

• You're product-minded. Our product features will eventually run your code when users interact with Notis. You have a sense for delightful user experience, analyze and fix root causes when things feel off, and embrace iterative development to improve the product continuously.

• You prioritize our users. Attention to detail is key, and you aim to provide users with a delightful experience. You can't stand bugs and welcome user feedback.

• You're an empathetic communicator. You consider technology trade-offs and communicate your perspective thoughtfully, compromising when needed. You thrive in a team environment and hold colleagues accountable.
